Likeminded Musicians Unite
El Sistema http://fesnojiv.gob.ve/ is attracting world press as the wildly successful and innovative new venture in music and music education. Its founder José Antonio Abreu is receiving the prestigious Glenn Gould award in Toronto next week. He has asked that Canadian Brass work and appear with the young players from the El Sistema programme that form the Venezuelan Brass Ensemble.
This event will take place Wednesday October 28th, 2009 in Toronto’s new Koerner Hall, continuing the Canadian Brass tradition of performing in the inaugural year of nearly every major North American concert hall opening including those listed below:
