Canadian Brass is Canada's favorite classical group!
It’s official! Last night at Canada’s 2009 Indie Awards Canadian Brass was named Canada’s Favorite Classical Group/Artist. This award is of high honour for the group for two reasons. As said in countless interviews during “Canadian Music Week”, Indie Awards stay true to the music rather than cater to the hype. Canadian Brass wins this award by staying true to their near-40-year musical mandate of excellence in both performance and music making. Furthermore, Canadian Brass was honoured to be nominated with other Canadian greats like recent Grammy Award winner James Ehnes and “Lord of the Rings” soundtrack star Isabel Bayrakdarian. Congratulations again to all the nominees. The nominated artists are all doing great things to continue promoting Canadian Culture internationally through their art.
